A black raven flew away, After calling the call
Of the yet to come, Unknown of the day
Dark clouds gathered , Dull unscenic sky lay
Conspiring with Fate , The Wind whispered
‘Something awaits’
Unspoken voices , Mumbled, losing itself
In the humdrum of daily life
People moved clip by clip, In slow motion
Reel of life
A heart that beats, Sometimes senseless emotions
Wisely recognized the call
The logical mind, Slapped every beat
With a no- nonsense howl
Night fallen, The sick miraculously recovered
Took his last breath of wellness
To descend back into the covers
Screaming sirens faded, Into the darkness unknown
There I lay in bed jaded , Un-ushered prayers of Hope
Drugged by Azarel, Asleep lay my whole
My soul awoken, To feel him take his final stroll
Sub-consciously I contemplated
‘Oh he is fine and well, Thank the Lord ‘
Not knowing it was , A Gentle breeze of the spirit
Joyously sweeping across
Happiness in his voice , Death had stood by his vow
It was his last visit , His last choice, To bid farewell to all he loved
Suddenly awoken, From my pleasant slumber
Flabbergasted by all the daunting eyes
Asking ‘how one could peacefully sleep,
While someone will sleep forever without a choice?’
With Remorse, I sat up in bed
Too scared to question , The emotionless masks
The answer I awaited , Was more than obvious
My heart cried , ‘He is dead ,Don’t ask!
