Confession of a Broken Heart

These are eyes made of glass
It rains on the insides
Of this heart
Rippling waters of pain
Gently sweep across
Waves created by a breeze
A breeze of thought
Our soul drowning in acceptance
Of what is and what is not
Our outsides faking serenity
Knowing that 'stength '
Lies in moving on
Trying hard to forget
What we hold onto
In rememberance
What is lost

Friendship

Let us make footprints
On the gloden sands of time
So that we leave imprints
For our memory to find
Let us sit together
Watch the sun set
In the deep crimson sea
Listening to each others dreams
In hopes, that it may become a reality
Let us stand together
When it is time to face the storm
Together we will fight it
Until a new day dawns
Let the waves of my friendship
Touch your heart's shores
Reminding you
I am there and I will be with you
Forever more

Love

Why are we all
Constantly searching
For that something
Which is constantly
Searching for us
Open your heart
Be patient
It will find you
Soon Enough.

My conscious speaks

You always pass my mind
Like a shooting star
Stalling me at a glance
Wishing you were
Not that Far
Encounters being rare
An Old
Burning flame you are
Sadness in being unable
To Perceive
The person you are
Time has brought
Us change
Change is what
Keeps us far
Words are being tossed
Back and Forth
We are no more at par
Cant understand
How can we
judge each other
Without judging
The other wrong
I wish
I didn’t have to let go
Causing you pain
With words that harm
My conscious hollers
I was unreasonable
My mind fights it saying
That is what you are
All I was looking for
Was acceptance
To speak
Without being perturbed
But deep down
I know
I shouldn’t have
Acted in a haste
I should have given
Us more time
So all these feelings
I could settle and relate
But now that
The damage is done
I know its hard to change
Guilt is what I feel
I know
You are not the one
To be blamed
If only I could
Take back those words
And turn back
The hands of time
I would let you know
You are precious to me
We could have evolved
A friendship
That would never die

Baby I Love You (Song Lyrics)

Chorus
Cant stop loving you the way that I do
Cant stop thinking about you
Day and night
Through and through
Cant forget you
The way you want me to
Coz Baby I love You

We have been on the road of life
Both high and low
Every time we passed a stop sign
You have been wanting to let go
Now that I have set you free
My heart is as lonely as can be
It seems I am driving a one way
Going to where ever it may lead

Chorus

This world may keep on spinning
Like a rotating roulette
In this lovers casino
All hearts are at debt
Some may keep on winning
But with you
I keep losing my bet
Now
There is nothing more to stake
Except my breaking heart
Do you care to try once more
Or you are to scared to watch it Fall apart ???

Chorus

Baby I guess love must be a crime
Because you are always on my mind
It seems I am not only paying the price
I am also doing the time
How can I make you see
What you have done to me
You may be miles away
But I can feel you by my side

Chorus

(Rap)
How can you keep on playing
these silly games with me
Creating your own rules
Breaking them as you please
All the promises you made
Forget it !!!
You cant make up ,its too late
I guess if you want to be a winner
This is all it takes
So I say HEY
Why don’t you put it to my face
Tell me it was someone else
You wanted to fill in my space
Was it all a dream ?
Or was it me you said you loved?
Justification
Wont serve its purpose now .

Death’s Call

A black raven flew away, After calling the call
Of the yet to come, Unknown of the day
Dark clouds gathered , Dull unscenic sky lay
Conspiring with Fate , The Wind whispered
‘Something awaits’

Unspoken voices , Mumbled, losing itself
In the humdrum of daily life
People moved clip by clip, In slow motion
Reel of life
A heart that beats, Sometimes senseless emotions
Wisely recognized the call
The logical mind, Slapped every beat
With a no- nonsense howl

Night fallen, The sick miraculously recovered
Took his last breath of wellness
To descend back into the covers
Screaming sirens faded, Into the darkness unknown
There I lay in bed jaded , Un-ushered prayers of Hope

Drugged by Azarel, Asleep lay my whole
My soul awoken, To feel him take his final stroll
Sub-consciously I contemplated
‘Oh he is fine and well, Thank the Lord ‘
Not knowing it was , A Gentle breeze of the spirit
Joyously sweeping across

Happiness in his voice , Death had stood by his vow
It was his last visit , His last choice, To bid farewell to all he loved
Suddenly awoken, From my pleasant slumber
Flabbergasted by all the daunting eyes
Asking ‘how one could peacefully sleep,
While someone will sleep forever without a choice?’

With Remorse, I sat up in bed
Too scared to question , The emotionless masks
The answer I awaited , Was more than obvious
My heart cried , ‘He is dead ,Don’t ask!

Forbidden Fruit

There she goes
Curious eyes follow
It is As If
She is been cursed
Her heart smiles
At them innocently
They pretend to smile back
The truth hurts

Whispers converse
Rumors out numbered
They don’t realize
Truth aint the truth
Until it is seen
With the eye
Rationalized by the mind
And Not just heard

None amongst them
Have the courage
To give affection
let alone call them selves
Her true friend
Their hearts always fear
The stalker is near
She will remain
His forbidden fruit forever

He torments her each day
Words in Blood say
He will unleash
Her love for him
She is his
For the taking
He sets his spies
On her words and actions
They pry
There is no escaping
From the devil

Locked in her loneliness
Drowning in unhappiness
She questions herself
If this is love
Then why does she
Feel so hollow
She longs for the day
Where she can fly away
Be a free bird
Free from loneliness and sorrow

Hope

Sometimes
I feel
All that life has to give
Is unexpected pain
That makes me wonder
Is it all worth the strain?
Where is this all leading to ?
Where does it all go ?
Can someone answer ?
Does anyone know ?

One day
I was walking
Down a busy street
When I came across a little girl
Whom I always meet
She sat there staring
As each passer by walked on
In the death defying heat
Waiting ……..
Hoping…….
That people would give her their shoes
So she could polish them nicely
From her petite forehead
Pearl like drop fell
As she tried her best
To do her job well
And when she was done
A shiny coin she would get
This would be a reward
The fruit of her hard work

It only seems like yesterday
When I had seen a little boy
He sat on this very park bench
Holding his little toy
He just sat there…..
Watching ……
The children at their play
I wondered
What made him sit there
Watching the other children so gay
Suddenly ……
It hit me
like a ton of bricks.
I realized
This little boy had no legs
A wheelchair came to his rescue .
Just in time .
And he raced in it
Towards his playmates
In the sunlight that spilt all around
It was that glow in his eyes
The sound of bells
In his laughter
That made the park sound and look
Like heaven .

Then I saw a lady
Her husband had left her behind
So that she had to face
This world
Full of cruelty and hardship
On her own
As his body
With his face ever so peaceful
Was carried off
Into a world unknown
Her eyes brimmed with tears
And her face
Was marked with loneliness
As she stood there
Not saying a word
But,
This face had a smile
Which was both
Joy and sorrow
A smile that showed
She was proud
Proud that her love had fought-
Fought for his nation
And he would always be remembered
By the coming generations
And there she stood
Like a woman
A woman who was lost
Lost in a dream

Sometimes……
People fail to comprehend
When things go wrong
That there is
Always someone behind them
And his name is Hope
He makes them see that
There is still a chance –
A chance for the better
It was then I realized
I was a fool –
A fool to be bogged down
By a misery of my own
A world in which,
If Misery abounds ,
Can never be a home .
So……..
Now when I am feeling low
I put a smile on my face
To make it glow .
Then I try my best , sit back
And wait ……..
And let Hope do the rest .

Lady In the Old Oak Home

There once lived a lady
On this very road
She lived in an old oak house
Near which children dreaded to go
Some say she was a witch
Others say insane
Nobody knows what happened to her
Neither did they care

Tonight is a another night
As I jog down this cold misty road
I try to concentrate on my footsteps
Keeping my head low
My mind starts to play tricks on me
Surroundings play along
The voice in my heart sings
Be brave, be strong
Just then
I begin to hear footsteps
Acting as echoes of my own
I stop dead in my track
Hold my breath
And turn around
To find myself
Standing cold in the darkness
All alone
Suddenly
Lightning cracks
Thunder violently roars
As though they were seeking my attention
Diversion was their goal
The next thing I know
It’s the lady from the old oak home
Standing in the moonlight
All adorned
Both of us stood there
Our eyes saying it all
She could read my minds confusion
As if
I was not knowing
Whether to run or stall
And just then
She reached out a hand to me
As if to say don’t go
Her eyes spilled out tears
Saying a sad story of their own
My heart reached out to her
She saw my expression change
She turned around
To show me bruises
Which were made in an act of rage
Suddenly
Lightning cracked
Thunder violently roared
They finished their little song and dance
To make me realize she was gone .

Here I am again
Jogging on another cold night
Mist embraces me
As fears cloud my mind
I keep on wondering
Will I meet the lady ?
From the Old Oak Home
Curiosity
Leads me right to the spot
Lighting crack once again
Thunder screams ‘watch out’
I can see shadows at the window
Of the Old Oak House
A lady and a man
In a bitter feud
The man raises his gun
Aiming to shoot
Suddenly I hear screams
Screams of pain
My body paralyzed
My mind the same
There goes the gun shot
The lady is down
My heart says run
Run now

Once again here I am
Jogging in the night alone
My mind says
You must be crazy
To be out here once more
But , something inside me
Says you must go on
The truth is out there
It should be known
There goes the signal
Lightning and thunder again
I turn around to find
The lady standing there
She somehow looked different
In a faint glow
She leads me to a tombstone
Where the flowers bow
She then turns around
And smiles at me
Instantaneously I smile back
Lightning crack
Thunder commands rain
Before I knew it
She was gone once again
I stood there staring
Staring hard ,at the tombstone
It read ‘ 1989 The lady of the Old Oak Home
Died of Sorrow ‘
Suddenly rain showered upon us
As if to bless her grave
Flowers bloomed around it
As my heart felt the same .

Love you forever more

I am loving you ,Not wanting ,To give you a clue
I am loving you ,Inspite of your heart ,Not wanting me to
I am loving you ,Like I have never loved before
I am loving you ,I know ,I will love you forever more

Every night ,I lay awake in bed
The light in your eyes ,Fills my vision
In the darkness I lay ,I shed a tear
As if to console
The storm in my heart ,Tells me
I will love you forever more

My mind tells me ,Loving you
Isnt a wise thing to do
My heart warns me
Running away from love ,Isnt a wise thing too
All I know ,In this torment
I will ,Fight to survive
So I can go on & on
Loving you forever more

Deep in my sleep ,You come to me
Our eyes converse ,Our lips too weak to speak
I reach out to you ,You just turn
And walk away
In spite of the pain you give
Unconditionally
I will love you forever more

Waking up ,In the middle of night
To the sounds of pain
That escape from my lips ,Confined
Unruly tears ,Stumble from their adobe
To fill my dreams ,With full of misty hope

I know somewhere ,In the depth of the night
We see the same stars ,Though we are miles A part
I know they will , Shine down upon you
Wherever you are
And they will let you know ,I am going to
Love you forever more

There might come a day
Where someone will fill your space
But in some deep corner of my heart
I will still keep on
Loving you………..
Forever more………….

Song Composed by Sangeetha Shenoy

My Journey through the Desert

The scorching sun radiates
His fiery heat on the Arabian maiden
Who lies beneath
Embracing the Middle East
Her beauty ,Lying in her Serenity

The gentle Wind , it blows
Shifting her sands
With a soft feather touch
The Once made ,Travelers footprints
His journey’s testimony
Disappears, For the hope
He wont need them to return

The desert , A capricious lady
Ability to drive men crazy
Reflects her Passion’s heat
Fooling them with mirages
For the Eyes roaming thirstily

Its in the beauty of the desert
My heart resides
The black hooded majaIs ride
Only revealing their eyes
Raising their swords
To the skies above
Calling out the most merciful
Allah heeds all

They carry me
On their Black stallions
Galloping we go
Through the dipping sands
A falcon, an ally, follows
With a swiftness of flight
Its in the oasis , we land

I smell the aroma , Of Arabic tea
Tingling in the atmosphere
I Gaze at luxurious tents
Welcoming they lay
The Persian carpets
The date trees beckons
The beautiful springs , heaven sent

Its here , my heart
Calls home
I smile at the friendly people
In their abayas and thobs
Its here , I sense Contentment
A memory of life that I hold

Never Ever Forever

Follow me
To a quiet place
Wherever
Our hearts
Can build a bridge
To see
The sun setting
In our deepest sea
Stand by me
Let us face
The storms together
I will hold
Your hand
Not let go
Promises forever more
Fly away
Chase shooting stars
At heavens gaze
Wishes turning
Reality
We will find
The strength
In each other
That we need
When the bow breaks
I wont be far
I will help fix
The pieces
Of your broken heart
When the light
Never breaks in
I will be the flame
Burning in
Your dark
Never
Ever
Forever
Will I
Turn & walk away

Sea Me

If one would ask
How you describe thee ?
I would compare myself
To her, the magnificent Sea

In Bliss
I dazzle individuals
Till they go blind
Reflecting the dancing sunshine
On the surface of my eyes

In love
You will see me turn scarlet red
As the mighty Sun
Showers his rays of love
And kisses me on the horizon

In wrath
You will see me shake
The strongest boat
And hurl around
Those who dare to hurt

But forgiving I am
As soon as the storm is done
I quickly make up
Declare Peace
And become calm

In solitude
I become cold and withdrawn
Cover myself in a mist of memories
That none can navigate through
Or figure out

In trifle
I let the hope of moonlight
Touch my black waves
Beckon for strength, to go on
In the darkest night that I lay

Just like the Sea
I am only understood by
And I understand those
Who take time to understand me
Just like the Sea
My beauty lies beneath
Don’t judge me on the surface
Because that isn’t the real me .

The Long Winding Road

I have walked for miles
Down this long winding road
Looking back, over my shoulder
Watching the years go
I realize , Something special
I have grown
Grown in many ways
Of that unknown
Change has been inevitable
Just like the passage of each day
And as I look ahead
In the darkness
I stand and anticipate
Many more cross roads, slopes and twists
That may be brought
By my dear Fate
And this leads me to take in
My one and only source
A silver gleaming ray of hope
Shown from up above
Just like the moonlight
Seeping amidst the dark clouds
On a pitch black night
And as I place each step
I watch
The winding road unfold
And I realize
Being Calculative and Cautious
Is not the easiest job
In the world
Time tries me
Experience guides me
My guru , My Master
And with each tiny step
Reality sets in
That I have begun a new chapter
And as I move on
I paint enveloping landscapes
In colors and shades of my moods
On life’s canvas
In different stages
I smear ragging dark seas
In my anger
Paint dazzling rays of sunshine
That makes me
Bubble with laughter
In love
I bloom daffodils
Far beyond the horizon
I sometimes Sketch grey clouds
To express melancholic reaction
I may even stroke
A beautiful waterfall
And claim serenity and peace
But I know
Every picture I paint
Of my life
Is that what I choose and please

And that is what makes
The long winding road
So thrilling and adventurous
But I have taken note
Lessons may be many
So don’t count your stumbles
Every time you trip on a snag
Get up , brush yourself
And don’t let your confidence crumble
There might be
A lot of U turns ,wrong turns
And all sorts of other disasters
But in the end
It is where we are
And not how we got there
That matters
And when I think
Is there an end to this long winding road
I realize
What I think might be the end
Might be a key to a beginning
To which I hold .
